Tate Britain (also known as\u00a0National Gallery of British Art and the Tate Gallery) is an art museum on Millbank in London. It is part of the Tate network of galleries in England, with Tate Modern (below), Tate Liverpool and Tate St Ives. Tate Britain houses a permanent collection of historic British art, including original paintings by the likes of William Blake and\u00a0J. M. W. Turner.<\/p>\n

Visiting a gallery can be one of the best ways to get creatively unstuck as\u00a0seeing a beautiful piece of art might just be the inspiration you need to create one of your own.<\/p>\n

The sister museum to Tate Britain is our very own Tate Modern. Tate Modern is one of the largest museums of modern and contemporary art in the world. It houses the national collection of British art from 1900 to the present day as well as international and contemporary art.<\/p>\n
Based in the former Bankside Power Station, in the Borough of Southwark, Tate Modern has been home to some truly unique installations because of it\u2019s industrial size. \u2018The Weather Project<\/i><\/a>\u2019 by \u00d3lafur El\u00edasson and \u2018EMBANKMENT<\/a>\u2018 <\/i>by Rachel Whiteread are forever engrained in my memory\u00a0because of the way they utilised the space on offer.<\/p>\n LEARN MORE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n In my photography journal from Rome<\/a> I talked about the importance of a good walk and that having one can really set you up for the day ahead. If the chance arises take a stroll through a park, appreciate the fresh air (it\u2019s a luxury in London!) and try to switch off. When was the last time you picked up a book and had some me-time? If the answer is \u201cI don\u2019t remember\u201d then you know what you gotta do.<\/p>\n St James’s park stretches for 23 hectares and is a perfect place to waste an afternoon.
