Leeds Fashion Show 2013 was on last Friday and I was fortunate enough to be able to go and document the event. Although Leeds is not the first name that springs to mind when it comes to stunning designs and high end fashion let me tell you that LFS totally delivered.

Leeds Fashion Show takes place in the Leeds Town Hall which in itself is a grandiose building filled with character and history. By chatting to the attendees it was clear to see that there was a buzz in the air, people were looking forward to this and rightly so, it’s essential to do and experience new things.

The show itself was a non stop barrage of laughs (helped by the charming Kem Anyanwu), energy , vibrant colours and kicked off by a great dance performance from the SCALA kids.

Personal Favourite – Masato

Masato Jones is an established Leeds designer with his current lookbook focusing on the floral theme. The fabrics Masato uses give his designs an extra ‘sheen’ which is why his new range of t-shirts, light-weight coats and jackets all fit into that spring pattern. Masato likes to mix and match his colours so they contrast off each other and as you can see above it can have a striking effect.
