Writing about music is a bit like sitting with a blind man and trying to describe yellow. Music can metaphysically transport us to a past mind state. It can awaken feelings and sensations beyond our comprehension. In one sense of the word - it's magic. Hearing your favourite artists perform live is a mystical experience. Time stands still and for a few hours you're transported to a world of joyous bliss. Over the last year I've been lucky enough to hear some of my favourite musicians in concert, from Aphex Twin, DJ Shadow, Above & Beyond to Nils Frahm and UNKLE.
