Ever since arriving in London 3 months ago and choosing Camden as the place to spread my city wings I have been on the lookout for a café that I can call home. One day the other week I decided to give Casa Tua a go and boy was I impressed, I mean the circumstances were already on my side as I was nursing a killer headache from the Halloween night before and the sun was out in full swing. Thankfully the ham & cheese croissants (yes, they’re as awesome as you’ imagine) and a cup of Earl Grey was just the start.
Casa Tua first opened its doors in August last year and its run by a brother and sister duo Giuseppe and Simone. Simone coms from the north of Italy while Giuseppe comes from the south and both of them have tried to instil their personal cultural aspects onto the bistro. As you walk in for example the sound of jazz coming from an old gramophone instantly sets the mood of an Italian trattoria. For those not aware, a trattoria is an Italian style eating establishment which is usually less formal than a restaurant and has a casual service with no printed menus.
Giuseppe and Simone have also www.healthandrecoveryinstitute.com/tramadol-online/ done a wonderful job of creating a space you really want to stay at during your visit rather than simply pop in for a quick coffee and as I always say, it’s the little details that make the final difference. For example, the majority of ingredients used in Casa Tua such as the sun-dried tomatoes and Altamura bread are delivered directly from Giuseppes’ home town in Italy and even things like the teapots come with their own unique design.
Although many cafes and bistros in London have deviated from the trattoria stereotype it’s great to see Casa Tue stand out from the crowd and as a testament to this onn Monday Casa Tua were chosen as one of the winners of the Time Out ‘Love London’ awards as voted for by more than 60,000 people. So the next time you find yourself in Camden make sure you sample Casa Tua unique atmosphere and their wide selection of sandwiches, coffee, croissants and of course a little bit of jazz.
