Style DVSN Collection 13

It's been a while since I put together one of my inspiration collections but only because I've been super duper busy. After a summer of non stop travel, photoshoots and personal projects I'm now fully up to date with all my DVSN work. Here's a small tease on everything style and fashion related:

I collaborated with Jaeger on a small lookbook which I can't wait to share with you guys. We shot 8 outfits around the National Gallery in London which was a challenge for myself and my photographer but in the end I'm super happy with the results.

Carl Cunard and I teamed up to shoot some looks for Farah and Bench which meant I got to take my new lens out for a spin. I also shot some small looks in Vienna and Paris although time constraints meant the quality wasn't up to my usual standards.

The real fashion will always be on the street and during my travels I found this to be very true. From the laid back nature of Paris to the layered looks of Amsterdam, Europe has something to offer.

I decided to create a small project around this European street style which you can see more of by clicking the link below. Walking up to people in a strange country might seem like a random thing to do but the amount of friends and acquaintances I made this way is priceless.

Over the summer I attended LCM and shot some images for the #FacesOfFashion campaign. Mingling at the fashion week after parties is always fun and you're bound to run into some super friendly peeps.

If you're attending LCM or Fashion Week this year hit me up. I'll be scouring the streets on the lookout for the latest styles and might be temped to shoot some looks if you ask me nicely. Here's a tbt Joey London, Oliver Proudlock and myself at LCM.

I've slowly started taking more portraits and pictures of new faces in the industry. Although I really had no idea what I was doing the people I was shooting with were in the same boat so it made the transition that much more fun.

Little details such as lighting and outfits can make a world of difference in the final shot so my advice to any amateur photographers reading this would be not to ignore the small stuff. Click the link below for my latest 'New Faces' post.

Style DVSN Collection 12

In the wise words of Will Smith "Summer, summer summertime! Time to sit back and unwind". Summer is here guys and no doubt many of you have amazing plans for the months ahead. Over here at Style Division I decided to do some spring cleaning and put together another one of my inspiration collections.

I collaborated with Ralph Lauren and Infinities for another lookbook which I shot with Lucy from LJLV around Embankment and St Paul's. I don't think the classic RL polo will ever go out of style and it's a perfect companion for the warm months ahead.

I added to the outfit with some sunglasses from Persol and my trusty Jawbone fitness tracker. To see the full lookbook please use the link below:

Style DVSN Collection 11

Happy March everyone! With Valentine's Day behind you don't forget that it's Mother's Day this month so saying thank you to the other love in your life should be top priority. It's been a busy few weeks for me as well, so if you don't have time to read through all the articles this inspiration collection should keep you up to date:

I finally made the plunge and upgraded from my Fujifilm XE-1 to a 'big boy' Canon 7D camera. With a 35mm Sigma lens on the way the visuals on Style Division should slowly change and become brighter and sharper. The new camera should allow me to do a lot more street style as well as travel photography so make sure to keep an eye out and if you have any Canon tips, send them my way.

Rome, Italy

I've been teasing out this post for so long now I've actually visited 2 other counties since Italy and yet I keep coming back to that magical little place. With my obsession with architecture escalating to a whole new level this year I feel that a history based post about Rome won't do the place justice. Watch this space as you never know when creative inspiration may strike and I pull an all nighter and finally get round to editing those photos.

London Fashion Week reaching a new level of hectic this year. With more and more photographers, models and designers packing the streets it was difficult to grab those unique shots we all crave.

On the flipside though it's always great to see some familiar faces on the street style circuit and see some of the finer outfits London has to offer. Hope to see you at the next LFW in September!

The disparity between London Fashion Week and London Collections is pretty noticeable but not in a negative way. As LCM is still in it's infancy things feel a lot less hectic and there's a greater variety of shows on offer.

On top of the shows I was also commissioned by Fucking Young mag to grab some street style shots with my new camera which you can see by following the link above.

Style Inspiration 10 – 2015 Overview

Hard to believe it's been a year since the last time I put my annual review together but I can't say that I'm surprised. When you're having fun you don't really pay attention to the time as days and weeks sort of merge together into a never-ending story with you in the center. 2015 saw Style Division develop into a standalone fashion and lifestyle mag with contributors from all over the world although our tight control of quality over quantity has not diminished.

[separator type="thin"]

London Fashion Week

After missing out on LCM and London Fashion Week last year I was determined to make an appearance in 2015 and ended up covering both events in winter and in summer with shows, after parties and street style shots aplenty.

My 2016 writeups went online not too long ago and with London Fashion Week 2016 starting this week I hope to see some familiar faces and having a long overdue catchup.

More Outfits

My obsession with fashion has not died down. Although I have started getting involved with different areas of the fashion sphere, a small style shoot still gets me excited as you can only plan so much while the rest has to be spontaneous and done on the day.

I have put together a list of my favourite outfits from 2015 but you can stay up to date by following my OOTD blog, lookbook or Feels page 🙂

More Travel

2015 was definitely the year to stretch the travel wings and with Google Flights and AirBNB making waves there's never been a better time to do so. I travelled around Italy, Spain, Montenegro, Ireland, Netherlands (to name a few), although it still feels like I've only scratched the surface.

My favourite post has got to be from Venice so give it a read if you wish to know more about that magical little place and follow my Travel Journal to stay up to date.

4 Inspiration Collections

In my 2014 overview I talked about starting 4 different journals with a focus on music, fashion, tech and visual inspirations. Although these have not been updated as often as I would have liked, each one added a new dimension to the blog and allowed me to showcase some of my different passions.

These inspiration collections will be further refined (or merged?) in 2016 so make sure to keep visiting so you don't miss out.

Photography Journals

My passion for photography has not dwindled and having recently acquired a Canon 7D there is now 0 excuse to take average pictures. The camera gives me a great excuse to explore London and continue updating my photography journals so the mag has a certain personal touch.

The Sigma lens is my next purchase as I wish to get up close and personal with my subjects and continue developing my eye for street style.

My involvement with the fashtech organisation INTERLACED came as a total surprise and over the course of a couple of months I ended up being one of the speakers during their fashion technology show in September 2015.

Fashion tech such as smart fabrics and wearables are already here although most people are not aware of the coming shift. This year I wish to write more about fashion tech and I wish to thank INTERLACED for introducing me to this amazing new industry.

I have recently started working at the prestigious talent and modelling agency Unsigned and so far it's been a barrel of laughs. I'm learning more about the fashion industry while further developing digital marketing skills with some first hand experiences.

With big plans on the radar for 2016 make sure to keep an eye out as I'm sure you'll see the Unsigned name pop up in all the right places.

What can I say about July except the fact that it's my favourite month of the year. You can pretty much count on it being agonisingly hot, summer festivals are in full swing and it's my birthday. All in all a great way to waste away 30 days. In July I also managed to break my phone and camera so apologies to anyone who's been trying to get in touch with me recently.

After a ridiculous 7 days in Montenegro (post to come) I flew back to London so that I could finally settle in my new place near Shoreditch. But before I bore you with the details of my adult life here are some things that I've been upto in July and people and products that caught my eye:

June has come and gone and with it I must say goodbye to Camden and start planning the next chapter of Style Division in Shoreditch! As an up and coming area of London it was the logical choice to move there and experience the twenty something lifestyle to the fullest.

If you're a photographer or Shoreditch blogger please get in touch via the email at the bottom of this post but for now here are some highlights from June 2015.

A new lookbook featuring street art I found all over London will be going live this week. Big thanks to 1face watch for sending me one of their charity watches, it complemented the outfit perfectly.

New Look organised a little blogger meetup at Wireless Festival in London last week and through pure chance and luck I managed to get on the New Look 'Look of the Day' page!

Style Division Inspiration Collection 04 – There’s Gonna Be Good Times

Do you ever notice how nice weather can completely change your mood and plans for the day / week / month? That's exactly what happened to me in spring, I decided that Style Division needed a long overdue facelift which is slowly starting to come together.

I also ended up travelling all over the country visiting Leeds, Boston, Liverpool, Dublin and of course an unforgettable 5 day excursion to Northern Italy. Part 1 of my Italy trip is already online but that was just a tease, plenty more to come.

Male Stylist, Twenty First Century Gent, Liam Pitts and I ventured to Savile Row last month to grab some lookbook shots around this famous little location. Check out the full post HERE and let me know which outfit was your personal favourite.

After a few months away I had to return to Leeds, the place that pretty much started it all. This time I came back with a camera and a fresh eye for detail so I was almost a tourist in my own town, felt a little strange to say the least. To check out my architecture and street style shots make sure to visit HERE.

Krissy D of Interlaced has been a busy girl. Last we saw her on Style Division she was donning the Oculus rift and exploring the future of fashion with Inition and Westfield. Now onto bigger things the first Interlaced event is planned to happen on the 3rd of September and if fashion and technology interests you this is not one to miss. More information on 2015.interlaced.co and the links in the footer of the site.

One of the highlights of my trip to Italy was the historical city of Venice. Shrouded in history it was like stepping into an Assassins Creed game. The full posts from Italy will be online next week.
